European Masters April 2016
Uxbridge Amblers entered two teams into the first European Masters Walking Football Tournament, held in Udinese, Italy. Both teams came away with honours, the blue team being crowned champions, while the yellows finished as Runners up. Another great achievement for the Silver Foxes. We're proud of the way everyone conducted themselves on tour, both on and off the field. We look forward to returning next year to defend our title.
Founded in August 2014 by Mick Geraghty and Mick Harvey, Uxbridge Amblers is a Walking Football Club for Men over 50.
With invaluable support from Andy Perren and the Middlesex County FA, the club has seen a rapid increase in numbers.
On the field, the Silver Foxes have had a great success, not only winning numerous tournaments, but also making it to the National Cup Final, where the club came third out of ninety six teams entered.
Off the field, Uxbridge Amblers work extremely hard to support both local and national charities, with over £10000.00 now been raised. The club try to organise at least one social event each month for it's members and their families. These include quiz nights, swing & soul nights, foot golf days and even a summer "beano" to Brighton.
We train every Friday in Uxbridge, if you fancy joining in, please get in touch!
