QPR Trust
Mick Geraghty
Inspired by QPR Community Trust, Mick is a worthy addition to the original five nominees. He has been reaching out to the community at large and through Walking Football he encourages groups to re-engage with the sport.
Mick organises and delivers The Uxbridge Amblers Walking FC, the QPR Walking Football Squad, the Forget-Me-Not Dementia football project and the Stroke Association, who have all benefited with Mick providing exercise, socialising and fun.
Mick is always willing to go the extra mile to help his local community – from organising collections for the local food bank to, most recently, running a fun crossbar challenge and raffle with both walking football teams to raise money for ‘Climb for Dottie’.
