Dave Ball loves a challenge and early in 2017 the lure of the bike and a 300 mile trip was too much to turn down .
Dave signed up for the London to Paris bike ride, got measured up for a Lycra whistle and set to work in the gym, spinning class and the Park Run before clocking up endless miles on his chopper!
Dave's dedication to the task in hand was more than matched by his fund raising for the Hillingdon Brain Tumour Group.
September saw the culmination of 6 months of hard training as a slim and fit Bally set off on a 3 day journey from the City of Pie and Mash to the home of Pate en Croute with a group of like-minded enthusiasts all wearing berets and a string of onions.
Dave's achievement is an inspiration to all who say" I can't do that - £2667.00 raised for charity and at 50 something finding a new sport and making new friends is testament to that.
Congratulations Bally a true Uxbridge Ambler.
